Reading - The Lost Dog

Anna: Oh no! I can’t find my dog, Max. Someone left the gate open, and now he’s gone!

Tom: Don’t worry, Anna. Maybe anybody in the neighborhood saw him. Let’s ask around.

Anna: I already asked the neighbors, but nobody saw Max. Everyone was busy this morning.

Tom: Did you check the park? Max loves the park.

Anna: Yes, I went there, but no one was at the park today. It was empty.

Tom: Hmm… What about the bakery? Max loves the smell of bread. Maybe someone saw him there.

Anna: That’s a good idea! Let’s go to the bakery.

(At the bakery)

Baker: Oh, yes! A little dog came here earlier. Someone gave him a piece of bread, and then he ran away.

Anna: That’s Max! Thank you so much!
