The Great Civilizations of the Past

Many ancient civilizations gave us important knowledge and inventions. The Egyptians built pyramids and used hieroglyphics to write. The Romans built roads, cities, and created laws that some countries still follow today. The Chinese created paper and the compass.

These civilizations lived thousands of years ago, but we can still see their influence. When we visit ruins, read old writings, or study their inventions, we learn more about human history. Understanding the past helps us build a better future.
