It is February in Brazil. The cities are very busy. People finish work and go to the streets. There is a big cultural festival coming soon. My name is Carlos. I am a graphic designer, but this week, I only want to relax.

My friends and I love the street bands. We meet after work on Friday. We listen to live music in the city center. The musicians play drums and guitars. They play samba and traditional music. The rhythm is very fast.

We also eat delicious street food. I like to eat pastel and drink cold beer. My friend, Julia, prefers mineral water and sandwiches. The streets are full of adults dancing and talking.

The music is loud, but the energy is great. Some people wear colorful clothes, but I wear a simple black T-shirt and comfortable jeans. I need comfortable shoes because we stand for hours.

This festival is important for us. It is a time to forget about the office. It is a time to celebrate life, art, and friendship in the city.
