The World of Ancient Civilizations

Long ago, people lived together in big groups. They built cities. They made rules. They made new things. The first groups lived near rivers, like the Nile in Egypt.

Egypt is famous for pyramids. The kings were called pharaohs. Greece was important too. They made art and played sports.

Today, people find old things from these groups. They help us learn about the past.
