VOCABULARY

  • To deseed (0:10): To remove the seeds from a fruit or vegetable (Prefix 'de-' = remove).
    • You need to deseed the watermelon before making the juice.
  • To come up with (2:14): To create, invent, or think of an idea or a plan.
    • The students came up with a brilliant solution to the problem.
  • To stare (2:22): To look at someone or something for a long time, often with eyes wide open (it can be rude).
    • Don't stare at people on the bus; it makes them uncomfortable.
  • To slurp (1:37): To make a loud noise with your mouth while drinking or eating soup/noodles.
