Festivals Around the World
Many cultures celebrate special days to show happiness, honor traditions, or remember important events. One famous festival is Diwali, the Festival of Lights in India. People light candles and lanterns, wear colorful clothes, and enjoy sweets with family.
Another celebration is Carnival in Brazil. It happens before Lent. People dance in parades with music and wear beautiful costumes. The streets are full of colors and energy.
In Japan, people celebrate Hanami, which means “flower viewing.” Families gather in parks to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms in spring. They eat together and enjoy the peaceful nature.
Each celebration is different, but they all bring people together and make life special.
