Idiom - Paint the Town Red

The idiom "paint the town red" means to go out and have a lot of fun, usually at night (parties, bars, clubs, etc.). 

Equivalent in Brazilian Portuguese: "Botar pra quebrar" (slang, means to party hard); "Sair para curtir a noite"

Examples:

Let’s paint the town red for my birthday! (Vamos nos divertir muito no meu aniversário!)

They painted the town red after their exams were over. (Eles saíram para se divertir muito depois que as provas terminaram.)
